5/13/09: DT's resident Lakewood expert Don Whipple discovered that the company has recently filed for bankruptcy.  The former Lakewood factory went up for auction a few months ago after Wal-Mart announced it would no longer carry Lakewood fans and since then the company has closed its doors for good.  Don wrote up these two posts about it on the message boards:
